Weeks 12, 13, 14, & 15 (July 22nd - Aug. 16th)

Wow! We have been extremely busy this summer at I-Four Media! We just completed two really big jobs this past weekend and several other jobs on top of that! I have been getting tons of hands on experience and it has been great! These are just of few highlights of these past few weeks.

Election Campaign Signs:
I was asked to create a sign design similar to one the customer liked and had seen, only add my own twist to it. Not too shabby.

Jealousy Industries: (T-shirts)
The customer came in and had drawn out a design on paper and I was in charge of outlining it in sharpie, digitizing it and cleaning it up, as well as cutting it out and pressing it onto the shirts in four different ways. This is just one example of one of the shirts (the others were in different places and the girl shirts were pink and gray instead of green and gray).

Cancer Shirts:
Cancer Bites

Caner Blows

Cancer Sucks

Hahaha, these shirts were fun! We had to come up with a few simple yet fun designs for a local cancer walk to help them raise money for those who are struggling and suffering from cancer. We designed and pressed these to several shirts both white and black.

COB Holdings Trucks:
We design custom decals for cars and trucks of all sizes, but sometimes you have to just label them enough so that they are legal. We ended up doing decals for three of these brand new semi trucks.

Lundeen History (external hard-drive):
Spine view with little hole for blinking power light.

Back view and hard-drive view.

Front view and size comparison (my hand).

This was a custom job that we received where I needed to create a template to wrap around the outer three edges of this external hard-drive and then create a design to help disguise it look like an older book. It wasn't very big, but it was fun to create and apply.

Cache Valley Bank Signage:
One of the stores in Ephraim completed. It looks really nice!

Prepping banner for large billboard wrap. We ended up placing two large metal poles down both sides and then tightened them from behind. It took some creative ingenuity for sure!

Finished billboard just north of Mt.Pleasant.

Huge back-lit sign in Mt.Pleasant (We did an even bigger one in Ephraim).

This was a HUGE job! We were given the opportunity to create signage and apply it to 4 new banks opening in the county (2 in Ephraim, 1 in Mt.Pleasant, and 1 in Fairview). It was quite the job, but the banks all ended up looking very nice in the end.

Snow College: (Greenwood Student Center Signage)
Offset wall signs in Welcome Center. (about 30" x 30" each)

Student Life signs

Directional signs

Offset signs on main floor (about 48" x 48" each)

This was another HUGE job that we had to complete. I counted and we printed, cutout, applied and mounted over 20 different signs and window perf in one day for the Greenwood Student Center. The pictures are darker because we finished late last night. They all look really nice though!

Snow College: (Business Department Bike giveaway)

Detailed decal close-up

This was a really fun job that I think turned out great! We were given an already customized and painted bike and our job was to create a banner to fit in the middle to help promote their department and advertise the bike giveaway. The design part was easy, but the creation of a custom template was a little tricky. I think it worked out nicely though. We also put on a small decal on the bike chain cover to help finish it off. It looks super nice and fun!

Krikorian Art Gallery: (car decals)
Like several of the other cars we have done this summer, the customer wanted something simple, and legible. We applied the decals to the back windows of the car.

This summer has been so busy, but great! I can't believe that there is only one week left of my internship here at I-Four Media. I've really learned a lot here and have had some great experiences. I'm sure that this last week will be just and great and busy as the whole summer here has been. I'm excited!

Weeks 9, 10, & 11 (July 1 - 19th)

We have continued to have lots to do here at I-FOUR Media, which is great! I feel like the more the summer goes on the more there is to do. I love the different experiences I have been getting here at I-FOUR Media and I love to be a part of this community and learning to work with people better and help make their ideas better than they imagined and come to life!

Ephraim Fire Department Water Trailer & Truck:
Back part of trailer (printed and cut vinyl)

One of the sides of the trailer (printed and cut vinyl)

Truck and trailer. I helped with the prep work as well as with the design development and application of the decals. I think it turned out great!

Gunnison Valley Hospital Dry Erase Board:
For this dry erase board I designed it and worked with the customer to get it finalized and the way they wanted it. I also printed and applied it to about 25 of these full-size boards. I think that it looks nice and works great! (it has a special laminate over the top which is designed to erase easily, it even can get rid of sharpie that has been used on it! Way cool!

Snow College Welcome Center Make-over:
Four windows outside of the Welcome Center in the Greenwood Student Center. I applied the window perf and this particular window perf has been laminated so that it can still be cleaned like regular windows.

Cut vinyl on a plain white wall in the media welcome room.

HUGE printed and cut vinyl of the badger head mascot and logo typeface on the wall of the entry way. We had to apply it in three layers stacked on top of each other. It looks awesome!

Printed vinyl over the metal of the receptionist desks. (We did two of these. This one that is blue and another one that is orange).

Full printed door wrap. We took the door off the hinges, removed the handle and placed the vinyl down. The office there has desks and stuff lying all over the place still due to the remodeling, so I want to go back when it is finished and take some better pictures with their new furniture and everything. It's looking great!

We have been working very closely with the Brand Manager and designer, Jon Stephens, over at Snow College. He designs everything for the college to help keep it consistent and talks with us about the best application and materials to use for his ideas. It has been fun working with a professional in the field and helping his designs come to life! He is amazing! We are still working on more things for their make-over and it has been a great learning experience!

Custom Electrical Service, LLC Truck Decals:

Side view. I did all the prep work and applied all these decals to two of their trucks in their fleet.

Barclay Mechanical Business Cards:

I designed all of these business cards for 6 different people that work there. The man and their logo type they provided, but I designed the rest. I believe they turned out alright.

Wintch Family Reunion T-Shirts:
We did a variety of shirts for the Wintch family. The adults were the dark charcoal color, the little kids were light grey, and the babies were white. It was a two color press on both the front and the sleeves. I think that the overall design and application turned out great!

Left sleeve view.

Manti 1st Ward's girl's camp T-shirts:
This is the back of the shirts that we created for them. They were silk screened with three different colors. They hand-drew a design that they had in mind and then I digitized it and made it come to life. I think that they turned out much better than I expected. We have done a lot of different girl's camp shirt designs this year and I feel like overall they have all turned out pretty nice.

Weeks 5, 6, 7, & 8 (June 3rd - 28th)

Sorry for not posting in awhile. These past few weeks have been super busy! We have done several vehicle wraps as you will see and we have been designing all sorts of things (business cards, signs, banners, stickers, websites, magnets, etc.) It has been an extremely busy month!

Golf Cart: "Snow Fun"
This is me applying layer one to the golf cart for Snow College "Snow Fun."

This is the final design fully applied. It ended up being a three color application.

The golf cart all finished.

 Mt. Pleasant City Police Vehicle:

 4 Bookmobile Wraps:
This is us working on the back of the Bookmobile. We printed out all the panels, laminated them so they last longer, and then we applied them one panel at a time and had to line them up. We had to apply the graphics over the top of the old graphic like they requested so the preparation time ended up taking the longest.

Me in comparison to our finished Bookmobile Wrap. We did 4 of these and they were huge! They took a long time, but it was a good experience to have had.

Bookmobile completely finished:

I think that it ended up looking really good!

Business Card Design "Big Step Trucking":
I designed the business card and also learned how to order it as well. This is the final product.

MacAttaxx Car Door Magnet:

I designed the magnets using the imagery they provided and applied it and cut it out.

Security National Mortgage Company Vehicle Wrap:

We wrapped it with metallic vinyl that matched the cars paint job. It was really hard to work with, but it turned out really nice.

"Everyday Grind" Logo Design:
I've done a few logo designs since I've been here, but this is one that just barely got approved by our customer in Las Vegas. I think it turned out nice and I really like how the icon turned out especially.

I am constantly learning a lot and being pushed out of my comfort zone here at I-Four Media. I really like how I get to design, but that I also am learning how an actual design / print shop runs. I'm being much better educated in the career field that I have chosen and it is a lot of work, but also fun. I'm enjoying myself here (especially since the Bookmobiles are done :) hahaha!). Oh yes, by the way we did finish the Ephraim Ambulance wrap and they love it! I haven't had a chance to take any completed pictures of it yet, but I will post them once I have the chance. :)
